Isabella, Emma and Julia picked up their pretty
baskets and went over to put them with the other gifts. Isabella saw
other baskets filled with trinkets and jewels, as well as bags, chests
and bowls full of fruit. She thought their baskets would be wonderful
gifts and she was glad they had something to give to the new Queen.
As she approached the throne, Isabella was about to introduce herself
and her cousins to Prince Michael. The Prince, however, was acting very
peculiar. He was bending over the throne muttering, "It's gone! I can't
believe it's gone! I wasn't watching closely enough. I can't believe it!
It's gone!"
