"Hey, I found one!" announced Emma as she scooped up
a purple egg. It was a beautiful early spring day and Emma and
her cousins were hunting for Easter eggs in Aunt Cordelia's garden. When
the families had arrived at her house, Aunt Cordelia had handed each
girl a pretty silver basket decorated with a ribbon and said, "While the
grown-ups chat, why don't you girls go into the garden and find the
surprises I've hidden for you?" They skipped off eagerly, glad for any
excuse to be outside on such a sunny day.
